I first met Kathleen last year when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed. That day was such a blast — honestly one of my favourite weddings of the summer (definitely need to blog it soon!). At some point during the day, Kathleen mentioned that her own wedding hadn’t gone quite as planned, and she and her husband, Colby, were thinking about doing some post-wedding portraits once things settled down.
Fast forward to a beautiful October evening — we met up again in Halifax and immediately clicked. It felt like catching up with old friends. Kathleen and Colby were so sweet and easygoing, and they gave me total freedom to chase the best light as we wandered through the Public Gardens. The vibes were perfect.
After that, we headed to Fort Needham Memorial Park, where their adorable dog and cat joined in for some cozy little family photos. It was honestly the cutest thing — such a treat to capture their whole crew together!
If you’re dreaming about wedding portraits in Halifax, there are so many beautiful spots to choose from. I’d love to help you plan something that feels like you. Let’s find the kind of backdrop that tells your story perfectly — whether that’s barefoot at the beach, surrounded by fall leaves, or wandering through downtown in your favourite outfits.
