I had the chance to meet Kathleen last year when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed. That wedding was such a blast — I’m definitely blogging about it because it was one of my top favourites from the summer! During our chat, Kathleen mentioned that their wedding day didn’t go quite as planned and that she and her husband, Colby, were interested in some post-wedding portraits now that some time had passed.
So, I caught up with K&C on a beautiful October evening. From the moment we started wandering around Halifax, it felt like we’d known each other for ages. They were both so sweet and a joy to photograph. They gave me full trust as I hunted for the perfect light in the Public Gardens, and it made for an amazing session.
We later headed to Fort Needham Memorial Park, where two very special visitors, their dog and cat, joined us for some family photos. It was so cute capturing their little crew together!
