Grace and Jordan were absolutely thrilled to celebrate their special day with everyone at the Grand Pré Winery in Wolfville. They chose their favourite spot for the occasion — an ideal place where guests could spend the afternoon enjoying fabulous food and fantastic wine. Set against the backdrop of a crisp October fall day, the whole affair was as relaxed and warm as the couple themselves. Working with Grace and Jordan was a true pleasure; their warmth and charm made the photography process just as delightful as the celebration.
What did you love about your wedding location?
Even before we’d met, we both loved Grand Pré Winery. It’s such a romantic spot. We both had fantastic memories there both separate and apart.
Getting married there truly revealed the best aspects of the winery. Jacqui and Jason were beyond marvellous to work with and very in tune with the atmosphere we wanted to create.
Overall we wanted our wedding to be full of good food, good wine and good mementoes and we can’t recommend Grand Pré more highly.
The on-site inn was a luxurious bonus.
What advice would you give to future couples getting married?
It’s not for everyone but we adored our small wedding. Coming to the guest list was a true challenge but in the end it allowed for the intimate experience we were looking for.
Grace developed bronchitis 7 days before the wedding and our goal was just to let her say her vows out loud. It brought perspective to the whole experience. As long as we could both be there to say our piece then the rest was detail!

We opted to have a “first look” before the ceremony and Rachael captured the moment perfectly. We had half an hour to ourselves, staring at each other like teenagers before we even thought about the ceremony.
We hadn’t had an engagement shoot and both of us considered ourselves “camera shy” but Rachael gave us such a relaxing and intimate experience.
When we think back on that day, that private time, captured by Rachael, made us feel so ready for the ceremony that followed. It’s impossible to pick a favourite but this shot reflects the perfection of that pre-ceremony moment
Do you have a favourite memory from the day?
It’s too hard to choose! Every time we look at the photographs we just grin with the happiness of the memories.
When we look at the pictures we feel that they so perfectly encapsulate the feeling of the day. Rachael made us so comfortable, guided us to the most gorgeous spots on the property and incredibly made two awkward souls feel that they weren’t being watched.
We like to think we had the perfect wedding and it’s astonishing to us how Rachael captures its “vibe” so precisely.
The photos with friends and family illustrated the “joie de vivre” we all felt.
We’re just so happy to have these photographs to help us remember the happiness we felt that day.
